Figuring out your child’s Tylenol dosage can be a little confusing. Not only do you have to make sure you have the right amount of medication, but the right concentration, too, as there are different formulations for children and infants. Not for long. The makers of Tylenol announced that they will be phasing out the Infant’s formulation. Soon there will only be the Children’s Strength (160 mg/5 ml). Other manufactures of acetaminophen are following suit.
Until the change is complete (sometime in 2012) make sure you check the concentration and know what you are giving. Here is a useful chart.
